The Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) is collaborating with Nigeria Breweries(NB) to warn road users against the consequences of drinking and driving.
The Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC) in collaboration with Nigeria Breweries(NB) has commenced it's"Don’t Drink and Drive’’ campaign in Otukpo, Benue.
Mr Boboye Owoyemi, the Marshal, was represented by the FRSC's Director of Public Enlightenment, Imor Etuek, who spoke on the importance of the campaign.
According to Etuek, the campaign is highly needed because driving under the influence of alcohol is the cause of most road crashes on the highways.
Mr Nicolaas Vervelde, Managing Director of the NB, represented by the Public Affairs Manager, Mr Patrick Ejido,gave a speech.
In it, he praised the collaboration between his organisation and the FRSC as it showed the company's commitment to ensuring safe-drinking habits while keeping the roads safe.
He went to say the collaboration has boosted road safety, especially during festive periods.
This safety campaign started on Thursday, October 29th, witha press conference in Lagos.
