South Korea,
hosts of the 2016 Suwon Invitational Tournament defeated Nigeria U-23s team led
by Samson Siasia 1-0 in the opening game of the Tournament today.
The game's
only goal was scored by South Korea's Choi Kyubaek towards the end of the match
and despite all attempts by the Dream team to equalize, their efforts fell
short.
Siasia’s
boys were hoping to secure a valuable win against the Red Devils as they
prepare for the Rio 2016 Olympics and the result was shocking as the Dream team
have not lost any competitive match since the 2015 All African Games where they
lost 3-1 to Burkina Faso in the semi-final.
The team
will battle Honduras and Denmark in the next two games asthe Bayelsa born coach
hopes to give his team enough preparation ahead of the Rio Olympics in Brazil
this summer.
