War Latest Updates: The recent outbreak of violence in the region of Israel and
Lebanon shows that peace in the region is still very fragile in spite of
ongoing negotiations. It was reported that in an overnight Israeli drone attack
in southern Lebanon, two people were injured, while one soldier of the Israeli
army got severely wounded in another clash near the border while these events
have been taking place amid growing geopolitical tensions among Israel, Iran
and Hezbollah.
As reported by the National News Agency of Lebanon, the
drone of Israel attacked a vehicle in the town of Seddiqine in Tyre region,
which wounded two people while another attack took place within a few moments
in the same area however, it is not clear yet if the attack was against any
individual or military installations. It is noteworthy that the Israeli
military authorities remained silent regarding the reported drone attacks.
Israel has been continuously claiming that its mission in southern Lebanon is to
prevent Hezbollah from rearming itself.
The Israeli Defense Forces stated that one of their soldiers
had been injured severely in what they called an "encounter" in
southern Lebanon. The soldier was immediately taken away for emergency
treatment, and his family informed of the situation whereas very little
information was provided on the operation and this is in keeping with the
Israeli Defense Forces' policy of withholding information when in the midst of
security operations.
