Following the developer-focused release which came out yesterday, today Apple has made the first public betas of iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 available to those who are part of its beta program.
With iOS 26.3 you get an easier way to transfer your data to
an Android device if you're switching to that. This is something that's also
being added to Android by Google.
There's a new Notification Forwarding feature for
third-party wearables in the EU, which allows notifications to be forwarded
from an iPhone to a third-party device as the name implies. This was mandated
by the EU and ensures you can get notifications on third-party wearables.
Apple's current implementation doesn't allow notifications to appear on an
Apple Watch when Notification Forwarding is turned on.
There are also new weather wallpapers, inside a dedicated
Weather section in the wallpaper gallery. This has resulted from the split of
what used to be the Weather & Astronomy section into separate Weather and
Astronomy sections.
